Prophylactic and maintenance therapy of angina
pectoris (Except for arresting acute angina pectoris
attack)
Upon physician's instruction, normally initiated
with dose of 1 tablet x 3 times daily after meal.
If necessary, the dose can be increased up to 2
tablets x 3 times daily.
In case of severe angina pectoris, the initiating
dose of 2 tablets x 3 times daily is recommended.
Molsidomine is usually well tolerated.
Occasional headache may appear in the early
treatment stages but it mostly subside in the course
of treatment. Gastric distress, orthostatic
hypotension and allergic reaction is rarely seen.
If hypotension occurs, the patient should be laid
with elevated legs.
Acute myocardial infarction, Cardiogenic shock and
severe hypotension
Molsiton
should not be applied in severe hypotension and
circular collapse caused by cardiogenic shock.
Driving or operating machines should be
abstained if symptoms of severe hypotension
appear.
