Perlinganit is a concentrated nitroglycerin solution
which may be used full strength or can be diluted
prior to intravenous administration. The recommended
dosage range is 10 to 200micro g/min, but up to
400micro g/min may be necessary during some surgical
procedures.
Headache, Hypotension
-Circulatory collapse, shock
-Severe hypotension with systolic values
under 100 mm Hg and diastolic values under
60 mm Hg
-Acute myocardial infarction
Perlinganit
is incompatible with PVC tubing and PVC infusion
bag. Severe loss of nitroglycerin may occur if
this material is used. Perlinganit is compatible
with glass infusion bottles and polyethylene
infusion sets.
