At the beginning of the treatment nitrate headache may occur, but
experience has shown that this usually subsides after a few days
of continuous intake. Lowering of the blood pressure, dizziness
and increase in heart rate may occur during the first days of
treatment. Other possible side effects are nausea, vomiting and
erythema(flush).

isoket retard should not be
administered in cases of: -acute myocardial infarction -all
clinical situations with low cardiac filling pressures -acute
circulatory failure (shock, vascular collapse) -severe
hypertension (systolic blood pressure ¡Â90mmHg.)

The drug should not be taken during the first three months of
pregnancy except on the instruction of a physician. isoket is
not suitable for the treatment acute angina pectoris attacks.
